Memberships at the Preserve

At the heart of the Preserve is our passion for conservation. From the condition of the land to the care and breeding of the animals, conservation is at its core. Many of the species we care for are nearly extinct in their home ranges and if it were not for preserves like Ranger Ridge we would not have a viable population of these animals in the world.

 

From the outset the planners envisioned Ranger Ridge as a haven that offers exciting opportunities for serious sportsmen and women, engaging outings for more casual hunters, and adventure for outdoor enthusiasts of all types.

SPECIES AT RANGER RIDGE

An Equestrian’s Paradise

Horse enthusiasts will enjoy our beautiful Equestrian Center as well as private riding trails throughout our Estates, mountain and creek areas. We have gentle trail horses for kids and the beginning rider as well as a trainer for lessons and wrangle to lead trail rides and gather and saddle your horses that you can board full time on the ranch. Our trails along the creek are scenic and gentle and for the more adventure rider the network of trails through our mountain range will make you think you are in New Mexico or Colorado just without the altitude!

Big Game

Roaming the ranch will be over 50 species of exotic animals and many native species that have called this area home for centuries, including whitetail deer and turkeys. Whether you are a hunter or just want to go for a safari game drive Ranger Ridge has what you are looking for.

Hone Your Shooting Skills

We have sports and game for all types and levels of shooting enthusiast. For the Shotgunner we have separate skeet, trap, 5 stand, and sporting clays courses. For the rifle shooter there are separate 50, 100, and 700 yard ranges where you shoot from a bench, standing or prone. For the pistol shooter there is a 25 yard tactical course with steel targets to test your skills. All of the ranges have clays, targets and paint at your disposal as part of your membership. When you want to take a break or relax and watch others there is a shooting sports lounge that feels like a living room but surrounded by glass and a second level observation deck where you can watch your kids as you relax.

Membership Types

Ranger Ridge’s membership categories allow you to tailor your luxury living experience to the unique preferences and desires of you and your family. Although each membership category offers something unique, all include year-round full property access.

Outdoorsman

  • Ranger Ridge Preserve area hiking
  • Ranger Ridge Preserve area biking
  • Estate Clubhouse and amenities 
  • 35 percent discount on Outdoorsman Memberships 
  • 25 percent off add-on Member Services for Ranch Owners 

Outlaw

  • All Outdoorsman membership privileges 
  • Unlimited use of all shooting ranges (including targets)
  • Unlimited use of all Clay courses (targets included) 
  • Use of all stocked ponds and boats where applicable 
  • Duck hunting (seasonal) 
  • Dove hunting (seasonal) 
  • Upland bird hunting (available upon request) 

Cowboy

  • All Outdoorsman membership privileges
  • 15 hours of horseback riding per month using the Club’s horses
  • Arena riding 
  • Access to all Estates Trails 
  • Access to all Preserve and Mountain Trails 
  • Wrangler led trail riding with four or more participants
  • All safety equipment included 
  • Rodeo, chuckwagon and other equine events 

Hunter

  • All Outdoorsman membership privileges
  • Limited to 25 memberships 
  • 100 percent of membership dues are pre-purchase of harvest dues
  • Dollars-for-dollar credit on annual dues toward harvest dues 
  • Includes unlimited harvest tags per price list 
  • Range owners receive 25 percent discount to market price on all animals 
  • All hunts must be guided 
  • Rifle Range use (only) for 45 days prior to scheduled hunt 

Chief

  • All membership privileges. You have it all CHIEF!!

Outlaw Membership

The Outlaw membership, an addon to the Outdoorsman membership, includes all the Outdoorsman membership privileges in addition to:


  • Full access and unlimited use of the Preserve for fishing, dove and duck hunting
  • Boat use/access to Freedom and Liberty Lakes
  • Use of all shooting ranges

 

Reservations are required for any shooting range lanes and skeet courses, dove and duck hunting and boat rental. In the Preserve, the Mesa pasture will only be accessible through a reservation.

Cowboy Membership

The Cowboy membership includes a total of 15 hours of riding time per month utilizing The Club’s ranch horses. Hours not used in any month can be rolled over to subsequent months within any membership year. Up to 60 hours may be carried over into the following membership year.


Additional riding hours, lessons, guided trail rides and wrangler services will also be available based on The Club’s current pricing schedule for such services.


All trail rides on The Club’s horses will be guided with a minimum of 4 riders required, or the hourly wrangler rate applies.

Hunter Membership

In addition to all Outdoorsman membership privileges, Hunter members gain exclusive access to big game/exotic hunting privileges on the Ranger Ridge Preserve. Only a limited number of Big Game hunting memberships are available. 


Payment of the Hunter annual membership serves to reserve one of the limited hunting memberships. All of the Hunter base dues are treated as a pre-commitment or credit toward animal harvest fees. 


The Club will periodically publish an animal price list (subject to change) that Members may reference to determine pricing by animal. Pricing will be based on surveys of harvest fees charged by comparable high-quality game ranches, if available, and/or other factors Club Management considers reasonable, such as costs and rarity of the breed. 


The a la carte game harvest fees for Hunter Members will be calculated by applying a 25 percent discount to the survey prices. During the Term, if an animal is harvested, the then-current harvest fee for that animal will be deducted from the pre-paid credit based on the Hunter base dues the Hunter Member acquired through payment of the annual base membership dues. 


Harvest fees exceeding the Member’s pre-paid credit and any fees for additional services will be billed to the Member at the time of harvest. No refunds will be provided if the entire membership dues are not credited toward harvest fees during the Term. However, the Hunter Member will be allowed to carry over a credit of up to $5,000 to the following membership year if the Hunter membership is renewed, but no refunds will be provided for unused credits. 

All big game/exotic hunts must be:


  1. Scheduled with Club Management or Management’s designated hunting coordinator/representative
  2. Guided by ranch staff at a daily guide rate based on the membership pricing matrix and membership level


If an animal is harvested, the guide rate will be waived for Members who are also Ranch Owners for the day of harvest only.

Exotic Animals from Around the Globe

The ranch will feature over 50 different species of exotic game from around the globe across three separate pastures: Mesa, Savannah and Mountain. These three pastures in the 1,800-acre preserve are made possible by the varied ranch habitat and topography. The diversity of Ranger Ridge allows us to perfectly simulate the natural range of the different native and exotic species that call the property home.
