The Asiatic water buffalo, or Asian buffalo, is a massive and powerful bovine species native to the wetlands of South and Southeast Asia. Known for their large, sweeping horns that can span up to 6 feet from tip to tip, these buffalo are among the most impressive animals to hunt.



Asiatic water buffalo stand 5 to 6 feet tall at the shoulder and can weigh between 1,500 and 2,600 lbs. Their thick, dark gray to black hides are perfectly suited for life in muddy marshes and rivers. The combination of size, strength, and striking horns makes them one of the most exciting species to hunt at Ranger Ridge.
